Choosing a Cleaning Company is not the hardest task ever, but there sure are some things you need to be on the lookout for in order to get the best possible service, and possibly stay loyal to that company for future collaboration.

It’s a relationship built on trust, responsibility, reliability, and efficiency. We’ve talked to guys over at Maid This and they opened our eyes and told us what you should look for, and expect from a professional cleaning service.

Level of Professionalism

Professionalism

It’s an aggressive market out there and there is not much room for companies who don’t take their jobs seriously, and who don’t really care if their customers are satisfied. What you need are people who are trained, polite, and willing to hear you out.

Getting the job done and making a customer happy should be the main goal. Things like online presentation, uniforms, a certain code of conduct and the way they treat you should be the telling signs if the company is worthy of your time and money.
Trained and experienced individuals

The whole presentation can be just a facade to lure you into buying. You need a proof that their staff is well trained for any type of situation required for cleaning, and how far their experience stretches. You need to learn how often they receive new training and if they follow contemporary trends in the business and adjust accordingly.

Customers’ experiences

Ask people, read online forums, or just find comments and user’s experience on their own webpage. This is one of those make it or break it factors, because we all as customers probably put the most of our trust into other customer’s experiences, and tend to trust those more than what the company’s PR have in their arsenal.

Certificates

Although this does not guarantee the quality of the performance, it is still good to know that the company has been approved and certified by CIVIS, OSHA, and CIMS. You should definitely check the list of their acquired certificates because this is something you’d expect any serious business would have, but in reality, they might not.

Check Insurance

Insurance

Better safe than sorry. You must make sure that all their staff is insured, god forbid an accident happens in your home and some of the staff gets hurt, you’d be the one to cover the expenses.

24/7 Availability

You might never need this, but it’s good to know if the staff is ‘’always’’ available and if they respond to emergency requests. They might show you some examples and requests they had before and how they responded.
Logistics

Ask about equipment, whether the company provides or they make a checklist for you to complete. If they do provide, find out what type of equipment and agents they use, and then you can conduct your own little research whether that’s good enough for you.
Flexible cleaning service

Every home, office and customer is different. Everyone has some unique requests and ways they want things to be done. Check how willing and ready the company is to compromise and tailor their service to what you really want. Maybe you are not satisfied with their default programme and would like them to do more, see what kind of additional service they can offer.

Safety First

Safety First

Make sure that the company follows rules, standards, and correctly implements safety measures. Check if the staff is provided with the right equipment like uniforms, rubber gloves, safety goggles, etc.

This was a short summary of the important things you need to consider when you want to hire a cleaning service, good luck!
